My Travel Journey
I love to travel. By boat, by plane. In a car or on a train. On foot or by bike. I'll cruise, swim, paddle, or hike. My parents instilled this verve for adventure while I was very young. My first trip was to the Philippines at age 4, where apparently I learned how to speak Tagalog in just a couple months!
Traveling with my family, our favorite way to vacation was cruising, where we mostly traveled to the Caribbean. We started cruising when I was young with my family on a Carnival Cruise, probably the Fantasy - I can't remember. Ever since then, it's definitely been all about #CruiseLife! I've cruised to the Caribbean, around the Mediterranean, and even to Alaska on the Norwegian Pearl! I'm currently working my way up to Royal Caribbean's Crown and Anchor Society Emerald Class. This year, I've already sailed two cruises on the Oasis of the Seas and the Freedom of the Seas. I'm also already booked on the Icon of the Seas for next year! Told you I'm a loyal Royal cruiser!
Although it wasn't until I went on a Contiki tour with my best friends when I really caught the travel bug. We rode a bus through 8 countries in 10 days. On this trip, we saw Big Ben and rode the Tube in London; tasted authentic Belgian chocolate in Brussels; saw windmills and the Anne Frank house in Amsterdam; drank in a Bierhouse, saw the Berlin Wall, dance the night away in a club, and visited a concentration camp in Germany; walked the picture-perfect streets of Austria; rode gondolas, ate gelato, and wandered the quaint alleys of Venice; ventured into an ice castle in Switzerland; ate escargot, climbed the Eiffel Tower, visited Notre Dame, and watched a cabaret at the famed Moulin Rouge in Paris. If you're exhausted reading that, imagine being on that trip!
Needless to say, I was forever inspired to see the world. I have now traveled to 40 countries on 6 continents! Oh, the places I still have yet to go!
